As a Component Design Engineer, you will be part of the Global Mechanical Systems Capability function. You will create engineering solutions that satisfy functional and physical requirements symptomatic of Product System and Sub‑System level environments. Crucially, the engineered solutions must exhibit robustness for manufacturing capability. You’ll be responsible for the on‑time delivery and quality of component design definition artifacts i.e., documents, models, definitions that meet system level and sub‑system requirements. You will participate within an IPT described by Product Lifecycle System (PLS) and operate in accordance with applicable Rolls‑Royce Management System (RRMS) policies and processes. As the Component Design Engineer, you will also be responsible for sub‑system integration of the technical activities for their design solutions and enabling lifecycle profitability through the Supply Chain Design.
