Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Compliance Tester III in Plano, TX to execute risk-based transaction testing under leadership, validating adherence to complaints handling procedures and the Enterprise Complaints Standard.

The successful candidate will analyze data from multiple sources, develop new testing approaches, manage schedules, and communicate results to Compliance Officers. This role requires attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, and ability to work cross-functionally.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in compliance, testing, or quality assurance.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 4+ years of financial services consumer compliance monitoring experience.
• 4+ years of consumer compliance auditing experience.
• 4+ years of quality assurance experience.
• Experience creating presentations.
• Working knowledge of basic statistics.

Responsibilities

• Under the leadership of a team leader, execute targeted transaction testing for consumer compliance requirements.
• Manage testing schedules to ensure all tasks and reporting are completed within established timeframes.
• Analyze data from multiple sources and systematically document the work and results.
• Develop new ways to test large populations of data.
• Review transaction tests executed by peers for accuracy and adherence to test procedures.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with Compliance Advisors and Business Areas as needed.
• Demonstrate ability to explore and quickly grasp new technologies to progress varied initiatives.
• Assist in communicating results to Compliance Officers, as needed.

A successful candidate will enjoy developing a deep understanding of complaints requirements and conducting monitoring/testing and drawing conclusions based on critical thinking, judgment and analysis to validate adherence. The role requires the ability to work cross-functionally with business partners, compliance advisors, risk managers and independently navigate through complex and ambiguous test determinations. The perfect candidate will have a passion for risk and compliance, testing, project work, quality assurance and has the ability to effectively challenge the businesses. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.Plano, TX: $109,900 - $125,400 for Compliance Tester IIICandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
