    Req#: 110690 Global Compliance Our division prevents, detects and mitigates compliance, regulatory and reputational risk across the firm and helps to strengthen the firm’s culture of compliance. Compliance accomplishes these through the firm’s enterprise-wide compliance risk management program. As an independent control function and part of the firm’s second line of defense, Compliance assesses the firm’s compliance, regulatory and reputational risk; monitors for compliance with new or amended laws, rules and regulations; designs and implements controls, policies, procedures and training; conducts independent testing; investigates, surveils and monitors for compliance risks and breaches; and leads the firm’s responses to regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries. You'll be part of a team with members from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, such as law, accounting, sales, and trading. We look for those who possess sound judgment, curiosity, and are able to adapt to a changing regulatory landscape. Overview
    Swap Dealer Compliance plays a critical role in the Global Compliance Division by supporting the CFTC and SEC Swap Dealer, Futures Commission Merchant and Security Based Swap Dealer programs cross- divisionally and globally. The team sits within Global Banking and Markets Compliance and serves as a center of expertise in the CFTC, SEC and NFA derivative registrants’ rules and regulations. The Swap Dealer Compliance Team is seeking an experienced project manager and advisor to lead the teams highly visible and strategic projects in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment. The role will require the individual to leverage his/her advanced skills in managing and advising major transformation initiatives for the team and business as usual operating deliverables.

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

    • 4+ years of experience in project management and/or managing transformation initiatives that involve transformation of program operating models, organization design, processes, people, and technology
    • Preference for experience in end-to-end operating model transformations, functional transformation programs, milestone tracking and day-to-day team routines
    • Must have strong skill-set in PowerPoint, developing presentations and telling the story of an organization; strong Excel and writing skills also a must
    • Highly collaborative, team-oriented, and strong consensus builder with keen ability to align and rally large teams to achieve critical milestones
    • Strong business analysis, problem solving skills, and logical mindset
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills written and oral; confident interacting with all levels of employees, including senior leadership within Compliance and across divisions
    • Experience in working with Compliance preferred and with executive/partner/Board level leaders
    • Results-oriented; ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive projects and prioritize accordingly, while focusing on the quality of work delivered
    • Detail-oriented problem-solver who is able to employ leadership, critical thinking, and time management skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure; able to manage and execute effectively on multiple, time-sensitive projects, with keen sense of urgency
    • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) and/or graduate degree
    • JD appreciated but not required

    HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

    • Work with Goldman Sachs leaders within Swap Dealer Compliance as your internal clients and apply overall project management and advisory skills to act as a “quarterback” for transformation leaders and manage transformation efforts as formal engagements, including scoping, planning, executing work, and tracking and realizing quantitative and qualitative benefits
    • Assist internal clients in developing the transformation vision and case for change, including the development of business cases and quantification of benefits
    • Develop and oversee multi-stream project plans, including milestones, issues, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder management
    • Ability and agility to work on multiple projects at once
    • Monitor and understand interdependencies across programs and determine where a risk or lack of control might need to be addressed and determine the right course or action, escalation, or mitigation plan

    Salary Range
    The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $115000-$250000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
