Our growing network of 2,000+ clinicians has delivered over 7 million teletherapy sessions to K-12 students.

We are a remote-first, distributed workforce of 200+ corporate employees, headquartered in New York. We place a high value on “cameras on” engagement, schedule coordination, and cross-functional communication to stay connected with each other when working in different places. Many roles require travel to create opportunities to engage in-person with our school partners, our clinicians, and each other.

What will you do at Presence?

A Compliance Specialist plays a pivotal key role in connecting our growing provider network to students in need of life-changing services. You will actively support and guide providers with cross-licensing and clearances in states where they will be delivering services. You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating our internal systems to ensure compliance at the federal, state, and district levels. This role is a temporary position for 6 months.

Primary Responsibilities:

Cross licensing

  • Provide compliance support to teams including, but not limited to, Provider Empowerment, Finance, Recruiting, Sales, and Legal as needed

Provider Support

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on provider licensing, background checks, and other related requirements for various provider disciplines (ie, SLP, OT, School Psychologist, etc.)
  • Manage cross-licensing process

Managing Compliance Data

  • Oversee internal monitoring and auditing systems to ensure providers stay compliant with state and organizational requirements for teletherapy services

Special Projects

  • Create attestation letters, email templates, and/or forms to fulfill school district requests and state board licensing requirements
  • Enroll providers in new training courses and monitor completion of courses
  • Build relationships with and serve as the Presence liaison to the state licensing boards and with virtual school coordinators
What we're looking for?

  • Experience working with complex systems and processes
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills demonstrated through email, video and audio calls, and internal meetings
You’ll thrive here if you have:
  • Passion for supporting people to succeed
  • Ability to connect well with many different personality types
  • Strong self-motivation and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Exceptional time management and prioritization skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability - the ability to quickly adjust to changing conditions and maintain a high-performance standard
  • Great collaborator who is solutions-focused and has independent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well with other team members in high-pressure situations with poise, a calm demeanor, and a sense of humor
