The Compliance Specialist implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Conducts routine monitoring, audits, and investigations toidentifypotential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.Assistsinmaintainingdocumentation, preparing reports, and providing guidance to staff on compliance-related matters.

Hourly Rate: $22/HR
Key Responsibilities:

Tracks and interprets laws or regulationsimpactingthe business and offers suggestions to functional managersseekingto ensurecompliance.

  • Conducts periodic tests and audits of organizational operations, including verifying batch paperwork, managing inventory and state testing information, and performing label verification and auditing.
  • Performs work under general supervision.
  • Conducts initial reviews of alleged compliance violations and escalates to executive leadership as needed.
  • May provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to subordinates, actively contributing to management through employee training, assigning job duties, and ensuring compliance with laws andregulations.
  • Performs work under general supervision.
  • Perform other duties as needed in support of businessobjectivesassigned by supervisor.
  • Assistswith the distribution of finished goods to ensure Manifest and labeling compliance.
  • Assistswith security and facility audits to ensure proper PPE and Security measures.
  • Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possesses solid working knowledge of the subject matter, regularly exercising discretion and independent judgment in handling team tasks and challenges.

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 2 to 4 years ofexperience

Additional Requirements:
  • Must be over 21 years of age.
  • Available for on-siteoperations workMonday-Friday.
  • Work revolves aroundobjectives, projects, and priorities- not hours; must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Willingness and ability to undergo cross-training in various roles within the department asrequired.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk,and/orworking on a computer.
  • Able to stand up to 4 hours at a time.
  • Ability to work in multi-temperature environments, hot or cool.
  • Be able to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and twist for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/orlift15lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanicalassistance.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
