Zen Educate Inc. is seeking a Compliance Specialist in Los Angeles to join a mission-driven startup revolutionizing how schools source teaching staff. You will ensure educators meet all required standards and maintain high safety and quality for every placement.

Hybrid role in LA with 3 days in office weekly. You’ll review profiles, run background checks, and collaborate on policy development with the Compliance team, helping to build a culture of safety and trust across the platform for schools

Salary: $55,000 USD

Hours: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm (40 hours per week)

We're looking for a Compliance Specialist to join our team. This isn't just an administrative role; it's a chance to be a guardian of quality and safety. You'll be on the front lines, ensuring that every educator who walks into a classroom through our platform is fully vetted, qualified, and prepared to make a positive impact.

What You'll Do

You’ll be a key player on our Compliance team, using your sharp eye for detail to ensure we’re adhering to all state, federal, and internal standards. This means you’ll be:

• Reviewing and approving educator profiles to confirm all documentation is accurate, from background checks and references to immunizations and training certifications.

• Running criminal background checks and regular compliance audits to maintain our high standards of safety.

• Collaborating with a passionate team to develop and implement policies that protect students and schools.

• Helping to build a culture of compliance across the entire organization, ensuring everyone understands the importance of our mission.

Who We're Looking For

This role is perfect for a self-motivated and highly organized individual who is passionate about making a difference. You should be:

• A meticulous and detail-oriented individual with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Comfortable with technology and proficient in tools like the Google Suite.

• An excellent communicator, both in writing and in conversation.

• Confident in handling sensitive information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.

• Driven by a passion for child safety in education, understanding that your work directly contributes to a secure and supportive learning environment.

• Prior experience in a compliance or administrative role is an asset but not a requirement!
