Job summary

Real Estate Personnel, Inc. is seeking an Affordable Housing Certification Specialist to work directly with residents, manage documentation, and keep files accurate and moving forward in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires thick skin, good judgment, and the ability to handle recertifications, verify income and assets, and maintain compliant files. AppFolio experience is a plus, and strong computer and administrative skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with annual and interim recertifications
  • Collect required income, asset, and household documentation from residents
  • Review paperwork for accuracy and completeness
  • Follow up with residents regarding missing or required documentation
  • Assist with income and eligibility verification
  • Maintain organized and compliant resident files
  • Track recertification deadlines and help ensure timely completion
  • Enter and update information in the property management system
  • Communicate professionally with residents throughout the certification process
  • Support the property management team with additional administrative and compliance-related duties as assigned

Affordable Housing Certification Specialist

This is a hands‑on position for someone who enjoys working with residents, managing documentation, and keeping files accurate and moving forward. Someone who can step in, take ownership, and handle a fast‑moving environment with confidence.

This isn't a position where every day is predictable. We need someone with thick skin, good judgment, and a strong backbone.

Affordable Housing Certification Specialist and What You’ll Do
