Job summary

American Family Insurance seeks a Compliance Risk Manager to lead a team conducting risk assessments across the organization. In a hybrid role, you will guide investigations, develop guidelines, and advise business leaders on compliance matters.

You will partner with Legal and senior leadership to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (FINRA, SEC) and drive process improvements and coaching across the team. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
• Demonstrated experience developing business guidelines and procedures.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of financial services industry.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of process improvement processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of audit and internal controls.Solid knowledge of compliance standards and practice.
• Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
• Solid knowledge of FINRA, SEC, and other regulatory requirements,
• Demonstrated communication (written and verbal) and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team that will perform risk assessments.
• Create a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by facilitating and promoting trust, transparency, and inclusion.
• Lead with influence and expertise; communicate and support organization mission, values, policies, and practices.
• Investigate high-complexity issues, gather information, and guide leaders on changes.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to direct reports, including performance reviews.
• Assist and influence partners to ensure adequate compliance.
