Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Project Assistant to support our AST/UST Compliance Management team. You will help maintain daily operations, manage project documentation, and assist with proposals, permits, and reports while coordinating with staff, clients, and agencies.

The ideal candidate has strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.

Job Description

The Project Assistant plays an important role within our AST/UST Compliance Management team, helping to keep daily operations, project documentation, and communications running smoothly. They will contribute to a variety of activities, including proposal, permit, and report preparation, while supporting coordination among professional and field staff, clients, contractors, and agencies.

The ideal individual will bring strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate project information and documentation. Success in this role means being a dependable team resource who produces high-quality work, keeps information organized and accurate, and helps the project team operate efficiently and effectively.

Core Responsibilities
  • Work cooperatively with and assist professional and field staff in supporting daily operational needs.
  • Handle routine inquiries and perform a variety of general office functions.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail distribution, as well as package shipping responsibilities.
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals, permits, and project reports.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Perform accurate data entry of project-related information into Excel spreadsheets and templates as directed.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation to ensure accuracy, quality, integrity, and compliance with established management systems and procedures.
  • Support special projects and perform other administrative duties as reasonably assigned.

  • Experience with Smartsheet is preferred but not required.
  • Notary Public certification, or the ability to obtain certification, preferred.
