Job summary

PNC is seeking a senior Compliance Program Specialist to lead and advise on broker-dealer and insurance compliance, focusing on annuities and related regulations. Based in Charlotte, the role collaborates with legal, risk, product, and supervision teams to ensure robust regulatory adherence and effective governance.

The position emphasizes independent judgment, product governance participation, and proactive guidance on regulatory changes, with a strong emphasis on customer protection and risk

Qualifications

• Experience with broker-dealer and insurance compliance, including annuity products, suitability, sales practices, and supervisory requirements.
• Strong working knowledge of FINRA rules, SEC regulations, Regulation Best Interest, and applicable state insurance regulatory requirements.
• Practical understanding of variable annuities, fixed annuities, fixed indexed annuities, and registered index-linked annuities, including product features, risks, and distribution considerations.
• Experience evaluating new products, business initiatives, regulatory risks, or supervisory controls.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effective compliance programs to identify and prevent illegal, unethical, or improper business practices.
• Supports key business initiatives by analyzing and drawing conclusions from data to identify compliance risks and provides resolutions to manage them.
• Assesses activity for existing and emerging risks and presents recommendations on risk mitigation.
• Leads the compliance monitoring program and defines objectives for assigned area, products/services, and applicable regulations.
• Reviews compliance reports to identify deeper issues, escalate as needed, and update reports for timely regulatory compliance.
