Job Summary

The Compliance Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the pharmacy remains in compliance with the requirements of the FDA, TN BOP, DEA, CMS, USP, TJC, and any other relevant bodies as directed by the Director of Pharmacy.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy preferred.

Required Skills
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy law.
  • Understanding of rules and regulations of accrediting bodies including FDA, TN BOP, DEA, CMS, USP, and TJC.
  • Ability to locate, utilize, and validate additional resources as needed.
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Excellent communication skills with peers, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Experience with automated dispensing systems, data analysis, and report generation.
Certifications

AHA BLS preferred.

Licenses

Pharmacy License for the State of Tennessee.
