Job summary

Blue Castle Agency in Brooklyn, NY seeks a Compliance Manager to own day-to-day compliance for its affordable housing portfolio. You’ll track violations, manage Local Law filings, and keep audits ready.

This hands-on role moves quickly in a regulatory environment. You’ll coordinate with site teams, inspectors, and vendors to remediate issues correctly the first time.

Experience with LL55, LL33, LL84 and systems like SiteCompli and Yardi is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in property management, compliance, or building operations — NYC affordable or multifamily housing background preferred.
• Experience with NYC Local Law filings (LL55, LL33, LL84).
• Experience with HPD and DOHMH mold and health-hazard processes.

Responsibilities

• Track, manage, and close out property violations from open to resolved, keeping files current and audit-ready.
• Handle NYC Local Law filings (LL55, LL33, LL84) start to finish, with deadlines that never slip.
• Coordinate mold inspections and remediation work under HPD and DOHMH guidelines.
• Close out work orders tied to compliance issues and keep the paper trail clean.
• Prepare and submit NYCHA compliance reporting.
• Work daily inside SiteCompli, Yardi, and Jaffa, plus NYC's municipal portals, to track violations and filings.
• Partner with site teams and vendors to get violations cured quickly and correctly the first time.
• Keep leadership in the loop on compliance risk across the portfolio.
• Build relationships with city agencies, inspectors, and outside counsel when a situation calls for it.

OVERVIEW

A property management company with an affordable housing portfolio in Brooklyn is looking for a Compliance Manager to own the day-to-day compliance work that keeps its buildings in good standing with the city. You'll be the point person tracking violations, handling Local Law filings, and keeping every property audit-ready.

This is a hands-on, detail-heavy role in a fast-moving regulatory environment. If you like owning a system end to end and can keep a dozen deadlines straight at once, this is a strong fit.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

WHAT IT TAKES

• 5+ years in property management, compliance, or building operations - NYC affordable or multifamily housing background strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of NYC Local Law filings (LL55, LL33, LL84)
• Experience with HPD and DOHMH mold and health-hazard processes
• Comfortable working inside SiteCompli, Yardi, and Jaffa
• Familiarity with NYCHA compliance reporting
• Bachelor's degree in real estate, urban planning, or public administration preferred
• Sharp attention to detail and comfortable owning deadlines with zero slip
• Strong written and verbal communication - you'll be coordinating across teams, vendors, and city agencies
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
