Cercano Management LLC is seeking a Legal and Compliance Associate to support the Legal and Compliance Department, working closely with the Senior Paralegal, Associate General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer. The role emphasizes organization, discretion, and strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate should have experience in legal operations, corporate governance, investment management, private fund matters, and regulatory compliance, with a hybrid schedule

Qualifications

• Experience in legal, compliance, governance, investment management, or financial services.
• Experience drafting and tracking agreements, diligence materials, filings, or compliance records.
• Strong written and interpersonal skills; organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize legal/compliance records and knowledge resources.
• Review, coordinate, and track legal agreements and fund documents.
• Manage databases for regulatory fillings, certifications, governance matters, and compliance processes.
• Assist with governance issues, entity formation, annual reporting, and internal approvals.
• Prepare AML/KYC materials and investor diligence documents.
• Coordinate regulatory filings (EDGAR, ADV, registrations) and related requests.
• Support compliance program administration and training records.
• Liaise with finance to process legal/compliance invoices.
