Job summary

Hach, a Veralto company, in Loveland, CO, seeks a Compliance Engineer to ensure water quality instruments meet global safety, EMC/EMI, wireless, battery, laser/LED and related product compliance requirements. You’ll partner with senior engineers to build deep expertise in product compliance and maintain thorough technical files.

This onsite role focuses on hands-on testing, documentation-driven work, and cross-functional collaboration to enable compliant product development and effective risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Typically 3–5 years in engineering, compliance, product testing or a regulated environment.
• Experience with hands-on testing, test protocols, documentation, or tightly documented work.
• Strong technical writing, communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to discuss design considerations, assess risk and safety/compliance impacts.

Responsibilities

• Support safety, EMC/EMI, wireless, battery, laser/LED, and international product compliance activities for new and existing products.
• Execute and analyze hands-on pre-compliance and certification testing, documenting results and communicating findings.
• Create, maintain, and organize technical files, declarations, test protocols, reports, and other compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with product development to review designs, understand changes, and assess potential compliance risks.
• Work with external laboratories and certification agencies.
• Participate in risk assessments and help identify mitigation strategies with guidance from senior engineers.
