Ropes & Gray LLP is seeking a Compliance & Data Science Consultant for the Insights Lab, blending regulatory knowledge with quantitative analytics. You will contribute to client-facing assessments, risk analytics projects, and portfolio monitoring engagements.

The role requires 3–5 years in compliance or regulatory advisory, plus hands-on experience with Python, R, or SQL. A hybrid on-site presence in Boston supports collaboration with attorneys and data scientists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in compliance, regulatory consulting, or a related advisory role.
• Applied experience in data science, data analytics, or quantitative risk analysis.
• Foundational knowledge of compliance program structure including DOJ guidance.
• Familiarity with sanctions screening, anti-bribery/ FCPA, data governance, or regulatory risk modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate client compliance programs.
• Conduct risk assessments, gap analyses, and portfolio monitoring reviews.
• Analyze sanctions, anti-bribery and sector-specific frameworks.
• Prepare client-ready deliverables and remediation roadmaps.
• Develop AI-driven workflows for compliance and analytics.
• Develop data analytics workflows for regulatory reporting and risk scoring.
• Collaborate with lawyers and data scientists across disciplines.
