Job summary

CAPECO Community Action Program of East Central Oregon seeks a Compliance Coordinator to manage data accuracy, collection, and program compliance. You will develop procedures, monitor data quality, and support staff through audits and reporting.

Position: COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR
Supervised by: Program Manager & Director
Department: Housing Stability
Classification: Regular Full Time
Position Status: Non-Exempt
Location: Pendleton Oregon, Main Office
Starting Salary: $4,218/Month

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for managing and ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance of data. This role involves data collection, processing, compliance monitoring, and providing support to program staff. Demonstrate strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Collect, aggregate, enter and update data maintained in various databases, spreadsheets, and internet-based applications.
  • Process the data with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop and implement compliance procedures to ensure adherence to program requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze data to identify compliance issues and create solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Prepare reports and database queries as needed to monitor compliance data and support program staff.
  • Work closely with staff to obtain missing or incomplete information.
  • Assist with answering phones, assessments, and other client-facing duties as needed.
  • Identify and resolve problems related to the quality, quantity, and completeness of data.
  • Engage in problem-solving as part of a team or individually to meet program needs.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee data management systems.
  • Train users on systems and provide ongoing support as needed.
  • Ensure all documents and forms are accurate and complete by conducting thorough reviews.
  • Participate in community meetings and events as they pertain to poverty, housing, and homelessness including but not limited to Home for Hope Coalition meetings, Project Community Connect/Veteran Stand Down events, and the annual Point in Time Count.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, smart phones, photocopiers/scanners, shredders and filing cabinets.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must pass a criminal history background investigation however, a conviction of a crime may not necessarily disqualify an individual from this position.
  • CAPECO is a drug free workplace and pre-employment drug screening will be required.
  • Due to federal funding, our drug screenings include the use of marijuana.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record is required.
  • Travel is required throughout the service area and occasionally outside the service area. Company vehicles are typically provided for business travel. However, on occasion, employees may be required to use their personal vehicle. When a personal vehicle is used for authorized business travel, mileage will be reimbursed at the current IRS mileage reimbursement rate.
