Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Compliance Coordinator in California to direct enforcement for a community, including inspections, homeowner correspondence, and enforcement hearings. You will work with the Architectural Review Coordinator on modifications.

The role requires strong customer service, communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while leveraging MS Office tools and driving throughout the community.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma; college degree preferred.
  • Must possess a valid California driver's license and state-mandated vehicle insurance.
  • Experience in property management or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a positive working relationship with Executive Director and Assistant General Manager.
  • Conduct daily site inspections or as needed.
  • Directs follow-up to drive-throughs of the association.
  • Attends Board of Directors meetings as required.
  • Responds to homeowner complaints and concerns regarding compliance matters.
  • Provide monthly reports to Executive Director regarding compliance status.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to drive throughout the community.

Job Overview

The Compliance Coordinator directs the community’s enforcement process; including community inspections, homeowner correspondence, and facilitation of enforcement hearings. This role also works closely with the Architectural Review Coordinator on Architectural Modifications.

Compensation

$24-26/hour

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client’s property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client’s directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future

Your Responsibilities
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with the Executive Director and Assistant General Manager responsible for the overall management functions of the association.
  • Conduct daily site inspections or as needed.
  • Directs the performance of follow-up to drive-throughs of the association.
  • Attends Board of Directors meetings as may be required.
  • Any and all other assignments as deemed necessary by the Board of Directors or management.
  • Conducts and/or participates in committee and owner orientations.
  • Utilizes technology as applicable to perform job functions and publish communications to the membership.
  • Meet with homeowners as required to support the compliance functions.
  • Other duties from time to time may be assigned.
  • Provide monthly reports to Executive Director regarding compliance status
  • Response to homeowner complaints and concerns regarding compliance matters
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to drive throughout the community.
  • Follows quality system procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Have some experience in property management and/or or closely related field.
  • Possesses exceptional customer service experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to handle deadlines and pressure of the position.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Access and Excel at an intermediate level.
  • Must have reliable transportation; possess current California driver’s license and the current state mandated vehicle insurance.
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate with the Board, vendors and clients, verbally and through written correspondence.
  • Must be detail oriented.
Education & Experience
  • Must possess a high school diploma. College degree is preferable.
  • Valid California driver’s license and state mandated vehicle insurance.
Physical Requirements & Working Environment

  • Must be able to lift 25lbs.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
  • Must be mobile enough to move around during outside events, stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, associates, supervisors, vendors, and our clients.

The work environment characteristics are normal office conditions. May require some driving, must have a valid driver’s license.

Full time position. Typical schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., unless otherwise specified. Must be able to work some evenings to attend meetings. Consistent and regular attendance required.
