Compliance Associate Licensing Division – Remote

Role Description

The Licensing Compliance Associate will play a key role in managing all NMLS licensing activities to ensure the company, branches, and its loan originators are properly licensed in compliance with state-specific requirements. This position requires a deep understanding of the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry (NMLS), state licensing regulations, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the application, renewal, and maintenance of state licenses for the company, its branches, and mortgage loan originators.
  • Ensure compliance with state-specific regulations and requirements through the NMLS.
  • Provide training and support to employees on licensing requirements and processes.
  • Monitor and track continuing education requirements for all licensed loan originators.
  • Stay informed of changes in state and federal licensing regulations and update company practices accordingly.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records in the NMLS.
  • Respond promptly to internal and external requests related to licensing activities.
  • Track license progress in NMLS and communicate any potential issues or delays to relevant parties.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in licensing within the mortgage industry.
  • General experience in the mortgage industry is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) and state-specific licensing requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
