Job summary

Torrero is seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Assistant to join our Compliance team. This fully remote role coordinates between departments, logs information into regulatory systems, and supports drafting compliance documents.

Ideal for someone with a strong administrative background aiming to grow in a regulated environment. Responsibilities include daily secretarial support, clear communication across levels, handling sensitive queries, and assisting in regular compliance reporting.

Qualifications

  • At least 2–3 years of professional experience in handling regulatory or compliance-related documentation.
  • Confident working with complex regulatory platforms or case management systems.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements within regulated markets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication across departments.
  • High attention to detail and organized information management.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent command of English (verbal & written).
  • Experience in iGaming or gambling industry is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day secretarial and administrative support to the Compliance department.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the organisation, both verbally and in writing.
  • Handle escalated or sensitive queries and correspondence with appropriate responses.
  • Assist in preparation of regular reports and presentations on compliance activities for management.
  • Maintain accurate records, filing systems and document registers in line with internal procedures.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and prepare agendas.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties as assigned by the department.

About the role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Compliance Assistant to join our Compliance team. In this role you will act as a central coordination point between departments: collecting, structuring, and logging information into complex regulatory systems and applications, and supporting the drafting of compliance documentation. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid administrative background who is looking to grow within a regulated environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Provide day-to-day secretarial and administrative support to the Compliance department
  • Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the organisation, both verbally and in writing
  • Handle escalated or sensitive queries and correspondence, ensuring a considered and appropriate response
  • Assist in preparation of regular reports and presentations on compliance activities and outcomes for management
  • Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and document registers in accordance with internal procedures
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, prepare agendas
  • Undertake other reasonable duties as may be established from time to time by the department
Your expertise to meet the requirement:
  • At least 2-3 years of professional experience in handling regulatory or compliance-related documentation
  • Confident working with complex regulatory platforms or case management systems
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards within regulated markets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across departments
  • High attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach to information management
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent command of English language (verbal & written)
  • Experience with UK/Malta/Isle of Man is an added advantage
  • Experience in the iGaming or gambling industry is a distinct advantage
