About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Compliance and Operations Specialist/Floater (COS/F). You will support multiple properties during new acquisitions or when site teams need additional help to meet compliance and operational deadlines. Responsibilities include conducting rent recertifications, assisting with leasing activities, and handling administrative duties. The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented, customer-focused professional willing to travel, including by plane.

Location

This position is remote, with approximately 85% travel within the New England area and additional travel outside the region as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct rent recertifications ensuring compliance with housing regulations.
  • Assist with leasing activities, including property tours, application processing, and lease preparation.
  • Manage site administrative tasks, such as record-keeping, resident inquiries, and maintenance coordination.
  • Collaborate with property managers and leasing teams across locations.
  • Train individuals with some experience or education in affordable housing or property management who show aptitude and interest.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Travel to properties in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and beyond as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in property management or related fields preferred.
  • Certified Occupancy Specialist/Tax Credit Certification.
  • Experience in affordable housing or property management is desirable but training will be provided for motivated individuals.
  • Knowledge of housing program regulations and recertification processes is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team.
  • Proficient in property management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Willing to travel, including by plane, to various properties.
