Kawasaki Motors Retail Finance (KMRF) is seeking a Compliance Analyst in California to support regulatory compliance, state licensing reporting and renewals, and compliance testing. The role also handles risk assessment and vendor management, reporting to the State Licensing & Regulatory Compliance Manager.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in consumer finance compliance, with multi-state exposure and strong skills in documentation, analytics, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in business or finance; relevant experience considered.
• At least 3 years in consumer finance compliance in retail installment lending, auto finance, or powersports.
• Experience supporting multi-state compliance programs across marketing, origination, servicing, collections.
• Familiarity with state licensing systems (NMLS, SES).
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; strong documentation skills.

Kawasaki Motors Retail Finance (KMRF) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to join our dynamic and fast-growing captive finance company. This role is primarily responsible for supporting regulatory compliance, state licensing, compliance monitoring and testing, and vendor management activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in finance, automotive, or powersports compliance, along with strong skills in state licensing reporting and renewals, policy development, compliance testing, and risk assessment. This position reports to the State Licensing & Regulatory Compliance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in filing and tracking annual state license reports.
• Support in filing and tracking annual state license renewal.
• Partner with Compliance Manager in performing compliance testing across operational areas.
• Perform complaint management activities, including tracking and documenting regulated complaints, monitoring resolution timelines, and validating that responses are timely, accurate, and compliant.
• Assist in maintaining a centralized document library of all policies, procedures, and training materials for each business unit, ensuring updates are reviewed, approved, and archived annually.
• Support ongoing monitoring of regulatory updates across state and federal levels and assess operational impact in collaboration with compliance leadership.
• Assist in onboarding new vendors

Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in consumer finance compliance, preferably within retail installment lending, auto finance, or powersports industries.
• Hands-on experience supporting compliance programs in multi-state lending environments, with exposure to operational compliance across marketing, originations, servicing, collections, and payment processing.
• Familiarity with state licensing systems (NMLS, SES).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, data validation, etc.), Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis, document findings, and develop actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting reports, summaries, policies, and audit responses.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with a methodical approach to testing and documentation.
• Team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across compliance, legal, risk, and operational teams.
