Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on large manufacturing equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and maintain documentation of work performed.
The role requires reading schematics, using basic computer systems to log records, and collaborating with managers on scheduled maintenance and process improvements. A strong sense of urgency and attention to detail are essential.
The Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative, maintenance, and repairs of large manufacturing equipment (hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, etc.).

High School diploma or equivalent Vocational certificate in appropriate field (i.e. welding, maintenance, electrical, etc.) preferred Ability to take and pass internal required testing
Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory
Ability to work extended shifts (holiday, weekend and/or extended) as business need requires Ability to work in cold/ humid or hot/ dusty environments as needed Prolonged periods of standing, walking, crawling, stooping, kneeling, etc. with ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery Must be able to visually inspect machines Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
