Aspen Careers, LLC is partnering with a well-established national law firm to identify a Litigation Associate for its Columbus, OH office. This role targets attorneys with 2-5 years of litigation experience who want to strengthen courtroom skills and handle sophisticated disputes.

The ideal candidate will join a team focused on energy litigation, with mentorship from senior attorneys and opportunities for growth in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of litigation experience.
• Experience in commercial, business, complex civil, energy, or another sophisticated litigation practice.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience drafting motions, briefs, discovery, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
• Deposition, hearing, small-claims, or trial experience is beneficial but not required.
• Strong interest in litigation and a willingness to learn new industries and technical areas.

Responsibilities

• Work on sophisticated complex litigation matters, including significant energy-related disputes.
• Build courtroom experience while working alongside experienced trial attorneys.
• Gain hands-on responsibility involving case strategy, legal writing, discovery, hearings, and client matters.
• Expand your litigation practice into additional areas based on your interests and the needs of the team.
