Job Overview

A law firm seeks a talented and driven Complex Litigation and Product Liability Attorney with 5-7 years of experience to join their litigation team in Torrance, CA. This role involves representing corporate clients in sophisticated product liability, mass tort, and complex commercial litigation matters, working collaboratively to develop innovative defense strategies.

Duties

• Represent clients in complex litigation and product liability defense matters in state and federal courts.
• Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Draft and argue substantive motions, including dispositive and discovery motions.
• Develop litigation strategy in partnership with clients, partners, and expert witnesses.
• Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial testimony.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and client communications.
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices on national and regional litigation matters.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in complex litigation, product liability defense, mass torts, or related civil defense matters.
• Active membership in the California Bar.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience drafting motions, managing discovery, and taking or defending depositions.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Trial and courtroom experience are a plus.

Education

J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

Active membership in the California Bar.
