Job summary

American International Group, Inc. is seeking a Complex Claims Director for Miscellaneous Professional Liability to manage top-tier, high-exposure claims across professional, privacy and media tech areas.

You will oversee claims from inception to resolution, set reserves, and coordinate with defense counsel, vendors and insureds while maintaining budget controls and strong client service. A JD is preferred and a bachelor's degree is required.

You will be responsible for handling all aspects of the highest exposure, complex third-party, Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Privacy and Media Tech claims, including class actions and high exposure matters, from inception through conclusion brought against insureds engaged in a wide range of professions.* Making coverage determinations, investigating losses, evaluating and projecting potential exposures* Making case presentations, setting judgmental reserves, developing and implementing resolution strategies* Effectively strategizing and budgeting litigation of each claim through discussions with counsel, vendors and insureds. For positions based in Chicago, the base salary range is $120,000-$147,000. For positions based in New York, the base salary range is $105,000- $147,000. For positions based in Boston, the base salary range is $122,000- $146,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
