Position Overview

We are hiring a Senior Claims Resolution Specialist for the Personal Lines Casualty team to handle auto and homeowner’s casualty claims in the Northwest Region. Responsibilities include investigating, evaluating, and settling cases, including high exposure or complex coverage issues. The role involves working independently within authority limits and handling claims involving severe injuries.

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $2,500 after 90 days for external candidates with an active All-Lines Adjuster license in Florida or Texas, with documentation required.

Preference will be given to candidates residing within Pacific or Mountain Time Zones.

In-office attendance is required twice a month for those living within 50 miles of our Hub locations.

Training and reliable attendance are critical for success in this role.

The salary range posted reflects varying pay scales across Liberty Mutual regions, evaluated based on your background and qualifications.

Position Levels
  • Senior Claims Resolution Specialist II: Accrues 1.5 flexible days off per month, up to 15/year.
  • Senior Claims Resolution Specialist III: Accrues 2 days per month, up to 20/year.
Responsibilities
  • Manage, investigate, and resolve auto and homeowner’s casualty claims, including coverage, liability, damages, and settlement within authority limits.
  • Identify suspicious claims, refer to SIU, and pursue subrogation opportunities.
  • Prepare for and attend trials, hearings, and conferences; report status to management.
  • Collaborate with trial counsel and prepare reports.
  • Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants to gather information and advise on actions.
  • Respond to inquiries and ensure reserves are adequate, recommending increases when necessary.
  • Ensure security of financial processing and claim information.
  • Manage practices and billing of outside and in-house counsel.
  • Assist in regulatory matters and participate in special projects or mentoring as directed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of litigation experience.
  • Expertise in handling complex personal lines claims involving severe injuries and fatalities.
Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge of coverage, liability, and claims procedures.
  • Ability to handle high-complexity claims effectively.
  • Understanding of state and federal laws relevant to claims.
  • Strong communication, analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus at least 7 years of related experience.
  • Ability to obtain necessary licensing.
