Gulfstream Aerospace Appleton is seeking a Completions Certification Engineer II to support interior fittings and amenities for new Gulfstream aircraft. You will create certification documents and coordinate alterations and certifications with internal teams and external authorities.

The role demands strong communication, the ability to multi-task, and familiarity with DO-160/DO-178/DO-254, FAA Part 25 and/or EASA CS-25 processes. Experience in project management is a plus.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with aerospace certification is preferred; design engineering is a plus; project management is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

This is a Certification Engineer position for the Completions Certification Engineering team. This team supports completion related activities for new designs of interior furnishings and amenities as part of outfitting new Gulfstream aircraft along with supporting other Certification related activities. This position requires effective communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to coordinate company certification programs for alterations and modifications. This position is involved in creating documents to support the certification of interior completions. Additional responsibilities are outlined in the job description and as assigned. The abilities to multi-task, be proactive/self-start, and communicate with internal and external customers are important aspects of this position. Experience with aerospace certification is preferred. Experience with design engineering is a plus. Experience in project management is a plus. Experience and knowledge of DO-160, DO-178 and DO-254 processes and experience with FAA (14 CFR Part 25) and/or EASA (CS-25) certification is a plus.

Education And Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Engineering or a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. 18 months related Engineering experience. Experience credit will be considered for related advance degrees limited to 2 years for Master's and 4 years for PhD in field applicable to the job position.

Position Purpose

Performs engineering work related to the investigation and the solution of technical problems associated with research, design, development, service and manufacture of Gulfstream aircraft.

• Actively works to improve daily processes, and ensures all work meets customer requirements .
• Maintains a current and up-to-date knowledge of developments and application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in assigned field of expertise .

• The level of technical skills and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline.
• Applies knowledge to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity, using a combination of judgment with defined practices and procedures.
• Failure to achieve results, or erroneous decisions or recommendations, may cause delays in program schedules and/or allocation of additional resources.
• Ability to convey technical concepts in both written and verbal formats.
• Contacts are primarily within the organization, with occasional customer contacts on routine issues.
• Works under general supervision for routine tasks of minor complexity.
• With supervision/mentorship, can coordinate the activities for lower level engineering staff.

This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
