IKM Acona seeks a Lead Completion Engineer to lead execution and ensure completion design aligns with project objectives and regulations. The role is based in Bergen, with potential flexibility for commuting and related locations.

Ideal candidates will have 15+ years of operator experience on the NCS, strong leadership, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams from pre-planning through delivery while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in petroleum engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline is required.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant operator experience on NCS with deep completion knowledge.
• Strong leadership, communication and collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee workload allocation within the completion team and track progress.
• Own overall project plans including drilling schedules, timelines and long lead item deliveries.
• Ensure completion design meets well objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate pre-planning and execution with customers and other departments.
• Investigate equipment failures and performance issues; document lessons learned.
• Perform QA/QC of supplier services and equipment deliveries on a contractual basis.
• Provide technical guidance as the company's expert to project teams.

Lead Completion Engineer

On behalf of a client we are seeking a Lead Completion Engineer

Duration: 01.01.2027 - 1 year with the possibility of extension

Location: Bergen, but commuting and working from other locations may be possible

RESPONSIBILITIES & WORK TASKS:

• Be responsible in keeping overview over and allocation of workload within the completion team.
• Have responsibility for the overall project plans within a drilling and well team (e.g. Drilling Schedules, timelines, critical deadlines for deliveries of long lead items).
• Have the overall responsibility for completion design, ensuring fulfillment of the well objectives and compliance with governing regulations and management system.
• Ensuring sufficient and required communication and cooperation with customer and other departments in pre-planning and execution phases to align a common understanding of workload and tasks
• Investigation and follow up of equipment failures or performance deficiencies, ensuring lessons learned are recorded and distributed as appropriate, evaluation of cost impact and recommendations of remedial measures (continuous improvement)
• Follow up and QA/QC of supplier's services, studies and equipment deliveries on a contractual level
• Engineer with broad experience that holds technical expertise with conceptual understanding.
• Provides technical guidance/recommendations as the company's expert

EDUCATION:

• Master's degree in petroleum engineering or alternative engineering disciplines required

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 15 years relevant experience from Operators on NCS and detailed knowledge in completion engineering discipline
