Job summary

Community YMCA in Clifton Heights, PA seeks a part-time Seasonal Competitive Swim Coach to lead our Lansdowne and Ridley teams. Must be available weekdays at 4pm and weekends to support practices and meets.

Responsibilities include following head coach plans, supervising swimmers, promoting YMCA values, maintaining attendance records, and coordinating with families. CPR/First Aid and lifeguard certifications are required.

Qualifications

Competitive swim experience preferred.
Current YMCA Lifeguard or American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
CPR/AED and First Aid certifications within 15 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Coaches attend clinic, practice and meet sessions as assigned and follow head coach plans.
Supervises swimmers and enforces YMCA values during practice and meets.
Builds relationships with participants and families, encouraging involvement.
Conveys information on programs and schedules to participants and parents.
Maintains attendance, progress and other records as required.
Attends trainings, workshops and staff meetings as scheduled.
Follows safety procedures and completes incident reports as needed.
Organizes and puts away equipment and reports damages.
Maintains professional attitude and appearance at all times.
Participates in staff meetings and other duties to support the branch.
Performs any other duties to ensure team success.
