University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking a Competitive Sports Coordinator for Campus Recreation. You will oversee intramurals, club sports, and a comprehensive 8-week summer youth program, serving students, faculty, staff, and the community.

Under the direction of the Assistant Director, responsible for the management of Campus Recreation's competitive sports program including intramurals and club sports for all students, faculty/staff, and other eligible participants. Responsible for assisting with all of Campus Recreation's community programs including a comprehensive 8-week summer camp for local youth.
When working, the employee may be exposed to a variety of environmental factors to include, but not limited to, hot or cold weather. In performing the functions of this position, the employee may be subjected to various physical demands including ability to move, transfer and/or transport items that may occasionally weigh up to twenty-five (25) pounds, and twisting, pushing and pulling movements.
To perform the functions of this position, the employee will be required to perform work in an office, outside, or within facilities that are served, and must have the capability to travel from one location to the other in a timely fashion. Position requires flexibility to a variable work schedule due to events and special programming.
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5002 - Program Coordinator position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 11/8/2026. The budgeted salary for this position is $54,000 - $58,000. This position is not eligible for any type of sponsorship for work authorization.
