Job summary

Agios is seeking an Associate Director of Competitive Intelligence & Market Research to drive market research and CI for in-line and pipeline programs. You will design and execute primary research, synthesize findings with secondary data, and deliver strategic insights across cross‑functional teams.

The role partners with marketing, medical affairs, market access, and analytics to shape launch planning and portfolio strategy, applying AI to enhance competitive readouts and speed decision making.

Qualifications

• Design and execution of primary market research (qualitative and quantitative).
• Integrate primary research with secondary data into actionable insights.
• Lead competitive intelligence across a portfolio and translate implications clearly.
• Launch experience across pre-launch to post-launch.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills for data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication to executive audiences and decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Lead primary market research to build foundational customer understanding for pre‑launch and in‑line brands.
• Integrate primary research with secondary data analytics into clear, actionable insights for brand and commercial strategy.
• Provide objective assessment of external environment and recommend positioning strategies.
• Lead competitive intelligence for the portfolio and translate implications into recommendations.
• Apply AI and scalable approaches to accelerate competitive monitoring and timely read-outs.
• Partner with brand and commercial teams on strategy and execution across the product lifecycle.
• Participate in cross‑functional teams to ensure decisions reflect market intelligence and customer insight.
• Act as internal consultant across marketing, medical, market access, and analytics.
• Direct third‑party research vendors effectively, on time and within budget.
