Job summary

CBS Dance Company in Los Angeles seeks a dynamic Competition Dance Coach to lead youth competition teams, craft engaging choreography, and foster love for the performing arts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in choreography, dance instruction, or performing arts education with a focus on competition-level training.
• Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to youth participants.
• Excellent classroom management skills combined with experience working with children or young adults in arts programs.
• Knowledge of theater arts, visual & performing arts, or related creative disciplines such as musical instruments or photography is a plus.
• Familiarity with childhood development principles and behavior management strategies to support diverse learners.
• Ability to teach dance styles such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary or other genres relevant to competition routines.
• Experience in coaching or mentoring youth programs with a focus on arts education or performance excellence.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with students, parents, staff, and event coordinators.
