Solitude Mountain Resort seeks a Seasonal Competition Crew Lead to oversee a team responsible for safe operation and maintenance of race venues. You will set up, tear down, and manage fencing, gates, and timing systems, while supporting mountain operations during events.
Work outdoors in all weather, lead staff, and ensure quality guest service. Availability Thurs-Sun December through April is required, with $25.00 hourly pay.
The Competitions Crew Lead is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of public and private race venues at Solitude Mountain Resort. In conjunction with the Head Alpine Race Coach they will oversee a team of Competition Crew staff to set up, tear down, and manage fencing, gates, rope lines, timing systems, and staging areas. In addition, crew members will provide support to mountain operations during competitions, events, and as needed.
Mountain Environment: The primary physical environment in which this position works is out of doors with a high exposure level to cold, snow, wind, rain, bugs, sun, high altitude, extreme heights, lightning, etc... Additional strenuous physical activity may include walking or hiking upon uneven, challenging terrain with equipment. Exposure to: Ultraviolet radiation from the sun enhanced through lack of atmospheric filtration at work altitude. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees. Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
