Meta is seeking a skilled Compensation Business Partner specializing in Sales, to own high-impact areas of our sales incentive programs and ensure accurate, timely payments for a large, global sales organization.

You will design systems and data workflows, audit payout data, and partner with HR, Sales Operations, and Data Engineering to set quotas and revenue crediting. This role requires deep analytical and financial analysis experience, with a track record of leading cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Statistics or equivalent
  • Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects and driving initiatives to completion with limited direction

Job description

Meta is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Total Rewards Team, focusing on Sales Compensation. In this role, you will own complex, high-impact areas of our sales incentive programs and drive cross-functional initiatives that improve how Meta designs, operates, and scales sales compensation for a large, global sales organization. You will be a trusted subject-matter expert who solves ambiguous problems, influences partners across HR, Sales Operations, Legal, Data Science, and Finance, and elevates the rigor of the broader compensation function. This is a role for someone who combines deep technical expertise with demonstrated ability to connect compensation program decisions to broader business objectives and can effectively prioritize work and adapt to shifting business needs.

Compensation Business Partner, Sales Responsibilities:
  • Own the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of sales incentive payments for a large sales organization, and drive improvements to the underlying processes and controls
  • Lead the design and maintenance of the systems, processes, and data that power sales incentive plans, identifying and eliminating sources of risk and manual effort
  • Update and audit data at the detailed Payout, Payee, and Revenue level to ensure success of compliance and overall alignment
  • Partner with HR, Sales Operations, Sales and Data Engineering teams to setup accurate quotas, territory assignments and revenue crediting
  • Gather and standardize data from regional Sales Operations to fit Global templates
  • Perform and validate complex sales compensation calculations, including the most ambiguous or high-stakes cases
  • Lead weekly/quarterly data audits and system maintenance to ensure accurate payee records and comp design components (component weightings, quotas, accelerator rates, and tiers)
  • Drive the design and implementation of system enhancements - shaping requirements and owning user acceptance testing for calculation logic, data tables, and reporting across the incentive compensation system and related CRM and revenue tools
  • Ensure the Sales Compensation payout process, controls and documentation are in accordance with SOX requirements
  • Own and continuously improve the quarterly process to create/change, publish, and obtain sign-offs on individual compensation plan documents and calculator tools
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex sales team queries
  • lead quarterly training on sales incentives and provide ad hoc enablement as needed
  • Research and resolve quota and payout inconsistencies, and partner with Data Engineering to drive resolution of systemic issues
  • Develop and track metrics to assess the effectiveness of the sales incentive compensation program
  • Provide support for cross-functional compensation related inquiries and requests (e.g. payroll, accounting accruals, SOX support)
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of analytical, modeling, and financial analysis experience, including hands-on sales/incentive compensation experience
  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Statistics or equivalent
  • Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects and driving initiatives to completion with limited direction
  • Excel and PowerPoint experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance concepts
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects by defining milestones, tracking dependencies, and communicating status to stakeholders
  • Deep experience with sales compensation design and operations at scale
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience mentoring others and establishing best practices within a team
  • Experience with compensation software tools such as Varicent, Xactly, Callidus, or Cognos
