Job summary

Opportunity Village, Inc. in Las Vegas is seeking a Compensation and Benefits Specialist to administer compensation, benefits, leave, and workers’ compensation programs, ensuring federal, state, and local compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or three years HR experience with compensation and benefits.
• One year experience with an Applicant Tracking System.
• Knowledge of State and Federal Laws governing HR policies.
• CPI certification within 30 days of employment.
• CPR and First Aid Certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain compensation, benefits, and leave programs in compliance with applicable laws and policies.
• Maintain accurate compensation, benefits, and leave data in the HRIS system.
• Coordinate benefits enrollment, open enrollment, and related communications.
• Partner with Payroll, Finance, leadership, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Manage FMLA and other leave programs including notices and tracking.
• Oversee Workers’ Compensation claims from reporting to resolution.
• Support annual compensation processes including salary reviews and merit increases.
• Stay current on regulatory changes and best practices in compensation and benefits.
