Lactalis American Group in New York, NY is offering a 12-month paid Compensation and Global Mobility Intern position. You will work with US HR and external vendors to support international moves and compensation projects, gaining exposure to global mobility processes.

Ideal candidates are pursuing or have completed a degree in HR/Business with strong communication and MS Office skills. Travel may be required; hybrid work policies apply to a dynamic team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the job evaluation and mapping process.
  • Participate in the Job Architecture project by creating a library of USA job descriptions with local HR.
  • Assist in auditing and analyzing compensation data and salary benchmarks.
  • Support compensation projects including salary structures and increases campaigns.
  • Assist international mobility projects and policy updates.
  • Serve as referent for J1 visa process with the French American Chamber.
  • Coordinate basic corporate immigration cases with attorneys and employees.
  • Follow up relocation and tax vendor expenses.

From your PASSION to ours

Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Compensation and Global Mobility Intern based in New York, New York. This is a12-month paid internship opportunity where the Compensation and Global Mobility Intern will have the opportunity to take ownership of a couple of key projects with the objective of gaining experience in Compensation and Mobility of international assignees. Additionally, the Compensation and Global Mobility Intern will collaborate with US HR teams and external vendors to coordinate international moves and assist with compensation projects in respect to the company's goals and values.

From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include:
  • Participate in the job evaluation and mapping process within Lactalis USA.
  • Participate in the "Job Architecture" project by creating a library of USA job descriptions in coordination with local HR teams.
  • Help the team when auditing and analysing all compensation data and conducting surveys and other salary benchmarks.
  • Participate in compensation projects linked to the establishment of salary structures and the managements of salary increase campaigns.
  • Assist with the international mobility projects and policy updates.
  • Be the referent for J1 visa process in coordination with the French American Chamber.
  • Process basic corporate immigration cases, coordinate meetings with attorney and employees seeking visa support, and relay concerns as needed to the appropriate team member(s) and the attorneys.
  • Assist in the follow-up of expenses related to relocation and tax vendors

Education
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • A major in Human Resources and/or Business Management is a plus.
Experience
  • Some practical experience through prior internships or professional experiences.
Competencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, teamwork ability: must be able to multi-task; Strong knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal skills in French or Spanish is a plus.
Work Conditions
  • Travel may be required occasionally.
  • Extended hours may be necessary depending on the project needs.
  • To fulfill these responsibilities, tools such as a computer, headset will be provided.
