Job summary

Columbia Bank in Fair Lawn, NJ is seeking a Compensation Analyst to support compensation programs, maintain the job data program including salary benchmarking, and prepare various monthly and ad-hoc reports for HR, executives, and the Board.

The role collaborates with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to ensure pay equity, support audits and regulatory exams, and communicate compensation policies. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in compensation analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of experience in compensation analysis, with 3-4+ overall years in the industry.
• 2+ years of experience in Human Resources.
• Experience with conducting job evaluations and salary benchmarking.
• Experience with ADP is required

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a bank-wide salary analysis to ensure internal and external equity.
• Complete and submit data collection for annual compensation surveys.
• Support the development of salary structures, pay grades, and compensation guidelines.
• Support all compensation processes including merit increases, bonuses, and salary adjustments.
• Assist with the administration, delivery, and communication of equity awards.
• Maintain the job data catalog ensuring job descriptions and organizational data is up to date.
• Analyze job descriptions and perform job evaluations to determine appropriate salary grades.
• Compare jobs to assess grading within departments across the Bank.
• Partner with Business Leaders to conduct job evaluations and organizational development.
• Partner with HRBPs and Talent Acquisition to align pay administration and job evaluation processes.
• Prepare various reports and analyses to support compensation, incentive, and performance programs.
• Analyze compensation data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Compile data for AAP annually and report to Senior Management.
• Utilize data visualization tools to present findings.
• Participate in audits, regulatory exams, evaluations, and compliance reviews related to HR data and processes.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails for compensation decisions.
• Assist in development and communication of compensation policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, and other stakeholders to provide compensation guidance.
• Provide training and support on compensation-related topics.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
