Sony Electronics Inc. is seeking a Contract Compensation Analyst to provide both project-based and operational support to the Compensation function.

This role will partner closely with Compensation, HR Business Partners, managers, and key stakeholders to support job analysis, job description development, and job architecture initiatives. Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent additional experience.
  • Strong Excel skills to automate processes and support calculations and analytics.
  • Ability to communicate with employees across the organization.
  • Ability to engage in prolonged periods of computer use with high attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Support day-to-day compensation operations, audits, data management, and project activities.
  • Collaborate across HR and business functions on special projects related to compensation, job architecture, and process improvement.

Our People & Culture team is seeking a Contract Compensation Analyst to provide both project-based and operational support to the Compensation function. This role will partner closely with Compensation, HR Business Partners, managers, and key stakeholders to support job analysis, job description development, and job architecture initiatives.


The Compensation Analyst will play a key role in evaluating positions, maintaining job descriptions, and promoting consistency in job leveling, and application of the organization's job architecture framework. This individual will help ensure roles are accurately defined and aligned with compensation and organizational structures.


In addition, the role will support compensation analyses, market benchmarking, reporting, job description initiatives, and other compensation processes as needed.


Estimated Assignment Duration: 10/5/2026 through 3/31/2027


Responsibilities


  • Conduct job analysis and partner with managers and HR Business Partners to develop, update, and maintain job descriptions.


  • Support job architecture initiatives by evaluating role scope, responsibilities, and organizational alignment to ensure consistent job leveling and classification.


  • Apply established frameworks, standards, and guidelines to maintain high-quality job descriptions and governance practices.


  • Assist with compensation analyses, market benchmarking, and reporting to support compensation and organizational design decisions.


  • Support day-to-day compensation operations, audits, data management, and project activities.


  • Collaborate across HR and business functions on special projects related to compensation, job architecture, and process improvement.



Minimum Requirements


  • 2+ years of relevant work experience, bachelor's degree, or equivalent additional experience


  • Strong Excel skills to automate processes and support calculations and analytics


  • Ability to communicate with employees across the organization


  • Ability to engage in prolonged periods of computer use utilizing desktop and web-based applications Delivershigh attention to detail and accuracy



Preferred Skills


  • Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics


  • Previous Compensation Support/Human Resources experience


  • Skilled in Excel, including the ability to convert large amounts of data into clear, concise management presentations that facilitate decision making


  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment



This position offers an opportunity to contribute to key compensation and organizational projects while partnering with leaders across the business to support an equitable, scalable, and consistent employee framework.


The anticipated hourly wage for this position is between $33 to $49. This job posting is for a temporary role, and the selected individual will be employed through a third-party managed service provider. As a temporary employee, you may be eligible to enroll in benefits, at your cost, through the managed service provider.
