Job summary

Easterseals seeks a Compensation Specialist to develop and administer compensation programs across the organization. The role collaborates with managers to ensure job descriptions reflect actual work and supports salary surveys for competitive ranges.

Core responsibilities include managing merit reviews, supporting Open Enrollment, ensuring regulatory compliance, and traveling to office sites as needed. The position offers a hybrid schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 2–4 years of Human Resources experience.
• PHR or CCP certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs.
• Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for job evaluation and job description development. Prepares and maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
• Participates in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure organizational compensation objectives are achieved.
• Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
• Manages yearly merit review process
• Assists Benefits team in the Annual Open Enrollment process
• Ensures compliance with federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining networks and participating in professional organizations.
• Identify, facilitate and participate in relevant staff trainings and workshops.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
• Travel to office sites required.

• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred

Compensation

Compensation: $65,000-75,000 based on experience and education.

Hours

This is a full-time position. 8:30am to 5pm, Monday - Friday. Hybrid schedule 1-2 remote per week.
