Job summary

SEARHC is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to design, administer, and continuously improve compensation programs that support our mission and talent strategy in a healthcare setting.

You will partner with HR, Recruiting, and leaders to ensure market competitiveness, equity, and regulatory compliance while supporting a high-performing, patient-centered workforce.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in HR/Business/Finance/Healthcare Administration or related field
  • Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles and leadership responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Develop and administer compensation programs, including base pay, incentive plans, clinical differentials, and premium pays.
  • Conduct market pricing and benchmarking using healthcare and general industry surveys.
  • Evaluate jobs and set pay grades, salary ranges, and classifications.
  • Partner with leaders to ensure programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with goals.
  • Perform internal equity reviews and external market assessments to inform pay decisions.

Pay Range:Pay Range:$47.69 - $67.19 The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for the design, administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of compensation programs that support the organization's mission, talent strategy, and business objectives. This role serves as a strategic partner to HR partners, Recruiting, and operational leaders, providing expert guidance on compensation practices, market competitiveness, pay equity, and regulatory compliance.The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with healthcare industry knowledge and a commitment to supporting a high-performing, patient-centered workforce.SEARHC is a non-profit health consortium which serves the health interests of the residents of Southeast Alaska. We offer generous benefits, including retirement, paid time off, paid parental leave, health insurance, dental, and vision benefits, life insurance and long and short-term disability, and more.Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the JobCompensation Strategy & Program ManagementSupport the development and administration of compensation programs, including base pay, incentive plans, clinical differentials, and premium pay programs.Conduct market pricing and compensation benchmarking using healthcare and general industry surveys.Evaluate jobs and recommend appropriate pay grades, salary ranges, and classifications.Partner with leadership to ensure compensation programs remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with organizational goals.Market Analysis & Job EvaluationPerform compensation analyses for new positions, promotions, reorganizations, and special pay requests.Maintain job architecture, job descriptions, and compensation structures.Conduct internal equity reviews and external market assessments to support pay decisions.Compliance & GovernanceEnsure compensation programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations.Conduct compensation audits to identify risks and ensure policy compliance.Support pay transparency and pay equity initiatives.Data Analytics & ReportingAnalyze compensation data and workforce trends to provide actionable insights.Develop occasional presentations for executive leadership.Support annual salary survey participation and market data submissions.Partnering & ConsultationServe as a trusted advisor to leaders and HR partners on compensation-related matters.Consult with Talent Acquisition regarding offers, hiring ranges, and recruitment challenges.Provide compensation education to managers.Monitor healthcare labor market trends and provide recommendations to leadership.Required EducationBachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.Masters degree preferred.Required Experience6+ years of progressive compensation analysis experience.Experience conducting market pricing, salary structure development, and job evaluations.Understanding of healthcare compensation models and methodologies, compensation benchmarking, and associated regulatory requirements.Advanced proficiency in Excel and compensation analytics.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with HRIS (Workday preferred)Professional certification (CCP, PHR, SPHR, or similar)Project management experienceKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong analytical and quantitative skills.Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and modeling.Ability to interpret and communicate complex compensation information.Strong understanding of compensation design principles and market analysis.Excellent consultation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Required Certifications:If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
