Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Compensation Analyst to join our employee-owned culture and help drive fair and competitive pay practices. The role focuses on market pricing, salary surveys, and governance across HDR's compensation programs, reporting to the Compensation Manager.

The role requires 3+ years of compensation experience, CCP certification, and strong Excel/Power BI skills. Local Omaha candidates are preferred, with work based in our Omaha office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business or closely-related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years related compensation experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong Excel skills using formulas, functions & pivot tables.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations affecting compensation.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Professional certification in compensation (CCP).
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Responsibilities

  • Reviews, evaluates, and market prices jobs using market pricing tools
  • Conduct market studies as requested by HR, recruiters and/or managers
  • Manage the participation of all salary and benefits surveys
  • Assists the Compensation Manager in all aspects of HDR salary and incentive planning processes
  • Maintain Payfactors market pricing system by ensuring upload of salary survey results and updating employee data
  • Maintain the company's job code summary and job architecture framework, including creating new job codes, evaluating and updating existing job classifications, job descriptions, titles, and career levels, and ensuring alignment with compensation and organizational standards
  • Assist with pay transparency, compensation governance, and regulatory compliance initiatives, including maintaining compensation-related records and audit documentation
  • Manage the HR prevailing wage administration
  • Prepare quarterly compensation reports for internal Board members
  • Complete the market pricing portion of annual FAR audit
  • Work with internal compliance, accounting staff and external auditors as needed for various pay equity audits
  • Perform other duties as needed

In the role of Compensation Analyst, we'll count on you to:

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certification in compensation (CCP)
  • Intermediate PowerBI skills or the willingness to learn
  • Local candidates preferred. Candidates must be able to reside and work out of the Omaha office.
