Job summary

American Family Care Statesville is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and disease. You will also assist with patient registration and basic medical assisting duties.

Responsibilities include positioning patients, applying ALARA radiation protection, processing images, and preparing them for reading by physicians and radiologists. The role supports both clinical and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• ARRT-registered or board eligible preferred.
• Licensed per state regulation; MA certification acceptable in some states.

Responsibilities

• Greet and explain procedures to patients with compassion.
• Position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Apply ALARA radiation protection principles.
• Process and review images; prepare for physician or radiologist reading.
• Operate digital and non-digital imaging equipment following policies.
• Assist with prescribed patient treatments per standards and protocols.
• Perform routine maintenance and arrange repairs if needed.
• Complete forms and maintain records of work performed.
• Serve as Medical Receptionist or Medical Assistant when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
