Qualifications

• Two years of related experience or training preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certification; motor vehicle operator license in state of residence.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Respond to location, follow traffic laws and company policy.
• Determine patient transportation needs and transfer to vehicle safely.
• Operate company vehicles safely at all times.
• Ensure seat belts are used and passengers are secured.
• Place patient in wheelchair and secure it in the van.
• Transport to destinations with caution and patient comfort in mind.
• Assist staff with patient preparation and settling post-transport.
• Communicate with dispatcher and relay transportation details.
• Document all necessary information accurately and legibly.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform pre-trip checks.
