Zusammenfassung

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a dedicated Wheelchair Van Driver to provide safe patient transportation in the North Haven area. You will assist non-ambulatory individuals, operate vehicles according to policy, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards for each trip.

Required are a high school diploma, two years of related experience, CPR and First Aid certification, and a valid state driver license. You will document routes and incidents and support staff as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Two years of related experience and/or training.
• CPR and First Aid certification; valid license.

Aufgaben

• Respond to appropriate location, observe traffic laws and company policy.
• Determine patient transportation needs and transfer patient to vehicle.
• Safely operate Company vehicles at all times.
• Ensure seat belts are used and passengers properly belted.
• Assist patient into/out of wheelchair and secure wheelchair in van.
• Transport to destination with care to avoid sudden motions.
• Provide assistance to staff for transport preparation and settling after transport.
• Document necessary information and incidents in writing; obtain signatures for billing.
