Job summary

Dial Senior Living is seeking a Part-Time/PRN Weekend Caregiver. This role provides personal care and support to residents, ensuring safety and wellbeing under RN delegation. Ideal for those starting a caregiving career, with opportunities to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

You will assist with daily activities, respond to needs, and help maintain a positive, respectful living space for residents. A compassionate, team-oriented attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Knowledge of Basic First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to residents according to individual service plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, eating, hygiene, and mobility.
• Observe and report changes in health, safety or well-being to supervisors.
• Respond promptly to call signals and emergencies and assist as needed.
• Support mobility with transfers, positioning, walking and use of mobility aids.
• Assist with serving meals and bussing tables during mealtimes.
• Offer companionship and encourage social interaction among residents.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and facility operations.

Position Overview

This position does not require a nursing certificate and is ideal for individuals beginning a caregiving career. The position provides personal care services, assistance, and support while ensuring resident wellbeing and safety, through RN delegation.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing services to each resident according to the resident service plan.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, hygiene, and mobility.
• Observe and report changes in health, safety, and well-being of the residents.
• Respond promptly to call signals and resident emergencies, assisting with their immediate need or contacting emergency support.
• Support resident mobility by assisting with transfers, positioning, walking, and using mobility aids as needed.
• Assist with serving meals and bussing tables during mealtimes.
• Offer companionship and conversation while encouraging socialization among residents.
• Launder residents’ clothing, linen and towels; fold and return to residents.
• Complete minor housekeeping of residents’ apartments, providing a pleasant home environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, facility operations and personnel.
• Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
• Other duties as assigned.
