Job summary

Levittown Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated veterinary receptionist to join our team. This full-time or part-time position welcomes candidates with transferrable experience from human medical or dental offices, urgent care clinics, or high-volume customer service settings, and offers hands-on onboarding to grow your skills in a veterinary environment.

You will greet clients, manage a multi-line phone system, handle check-ins and payments, and support a compassionate team caring for animals.

Qualifications

• Proven customer service skills with strong verbal and written communication.
• Experience with appointment scheduling and multi-line phone systems.
• Data entry and payment processing (POS) experience.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn new software.
• Genuine affinity for animals and comfort in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients at the front desk.
• Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system.
• Perform client check-out, including payments and scheduling future appointments.
• Provide composed and compassionate customer service during difficult news about pets.
• Data entry and maintain organized records in the practice management system.
• Communicate with clinical staff to relay messages and support daily operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized reception and waiting area.
