Job summary

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved Veterinary Assistant program certificate preferred.
• One year of pet care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Foster a respectful, learning, and teamwork focused culture.
• Clean, disinfect, and prep exam rooms and equipment between appointments.
• Obtain patient histories and document records.
• Calmly restrain and comfort pets during procedures.
• Take examination notes and update records as directed.
• Educate owners on pet care and post-procedure instructions.
• Monitor vital signs after surgery and during hospitalization.
• Assist with basic health checks and dispensing medications under supervision.
• Maintain cages, boarding areas, and feeding routines.
• Respond to client questions and support a compassionate client experience.
• Perform duties not requiring Veterinarian or Technician assistance.
