Qualifications

• AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state; CVT/LVT/RVT in good standing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary hospital practices and drug names.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, efficient medical care and exceptional service to clients.
• Obtain patient history and assist Veterinarians during exams and procedures.
• Create and maintain patient medical records and documentation.
• Perform preparatory procedures, restrain pets, and assist with diagnostics.
• Administer injections, vaccines, and medications under supervision.
• Perform dental prophylaxis and collect samples for testing when needed.
• Educate clients on pet health, nutrition, and preventative care.
