Village West Veterinary in Chicago, IL, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, seeks an experienced Veterinary Assistant for a part-time position. You will provide patient care under the supervision of a DVM, assist with restraining and handling animals, and support lab work and surgical preparation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Veterinary Assistant (preferred).
• Ability to maintain a positive work environment and work collaboratively with team members.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of a DVM or Hospital Leadership.
• Assist with restraining, handling, and lifting of animals.
• Process and submit lab work (in-house and lab partners).
• Sterilize instruments and supplies; maintain kennels, floors, and restrooms.
