Qualifications

• Demonstrated patience and compassion in client and patient interactions.
• Strong teamwork and communication with veterinarians and staff.
• Good organizational skills for managing samples and records.
• Ability to lift weights and handle animals and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in exams and surgeries as needed.
• Take histories, vital signs, and educate clients during outpatient exams.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs during procedures.
• Obtain blood, stool, and other samples; perform in-hospital lab tests.
• Take, develop, and maintain radiographs following safety procedures.
• Provide basic animal handling and restraint during exams.
• Administer and monitor medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Maintain clean and stocked exam and treatment rooms; assist with lab areas.
• Demonstrate warmth, courtesy and professionalism in all client interactions; support patient care.
